Propolis is a natural substance produced by honeybees, often called bee glue or bee resin. It is a brown-yellow, resinous mass with an aromatic scent. Bees collect resins from buds and tree bark, mix them with wax and their own enzymes, and create propolis. Inside the hive they use this “bee putty” to seal gaps and protect the colony from germs and pests.
